El pasado domingo, 10 de febrero Juan Pau Segura disputó la prueba del Mundial de SuperEnduro que se celebró en el Palau Sant Jordi de Barcelona, en la categoria Junior con el dorsal #80.

Last Sunday, 10th of February, Juan Pau Segura competed in the SuperEnduro World Championship event in Barcelona, in the Junior category with the number#80.

Él fue el único piloto del SEWC que corrió con una Beta, concretamente la Beta 350 RR. En la sesión de los entrenamientos clasificatorios de la mañana, consiguió finalizar en sexta posición de un total de 16 pilotos clasificados, entrando así en las dos finales, un muy buen resultado teniendo en cuenta el alto nivel de el resto de los pilotos.

He was the only rider of the SEWC with a Beta, to be more specific, the Beta RR 350. In the classification round, he obtained the 6th position, from a total of 16 riders that were classificated for the finals. Taking into consideration the high level of the other riders, this is a very good result. 

Por la tarde, en la primera final, en la parrilla de salida los pilotos estaban situados en orden inverso ( de última posición en la sesión clasificatoria a la primera ), por lo que la salida fue muy complicada, dado que la parrilla era muy estrecha. Pese a no poder salir bien, Juan Pau consiguió remontar varias posiciones, hasta situarse en quinta posición y mantener un buen ritmo de carrera, siendo constante vuelta a vuelta, y pese a tener un pequeño encuentro con otro piloto, consiguió finalizar en octava posición, siendo el primer piloto español de su categoría.

In the first final round of the afternoon, the riders were situated on the grid in the reversed order from the classification, and as the grid was quite small, the start was very difficult. Despite not having started in the first positions, Juan Pau Segura could overcome many positions, and ride in the 5th position. In spite of being constant lap after lap, after getting blocked by other riders, he could manage to finish in 8th position, being the first Spanish rider in the classification.

En la segunda final, y pese a poder salir en el orden de la clasificación de los entrenamientos, en la salida Juan Pau Segura y el piloto polaco Pawel Szymkowski, ganador del Indoor de Lodz (Polonia), se tocaron, y a punto de irse al suelo, Juan Pau pudo evitar la caída, por lo que no pudo situarse en las posiciones de cabeza,  viéndose   obligado a remontar hasta poderse situar el octavo.

In the second final, the grid was in the right order, but in the first meters after having started, Juan Pau Segura and Pawel Szymkowski, rider from Poland and winner of the previous event, collided. Juan Pau could avoid falling, but he couldn’t get into the first positions, and he was forced to overcome to get into the 8th position. 

Finalmente Juan Pau Segura finalizó en la octava plaza de la clasificación general de la categoria Junior del SEWC, con 14 puntos, y siendo el primer español de la clasificación.

Finally, Juan Pau Segura ended in the 8th position of the final classification of the Junior category of the SEWC, with 14 points, and being the first Spanish rider of the classification.

La experiencia obtenida en esta carrera ha sido muy positiva, ya que ha sido la primera disputada con la nueva Beta 350 RR, y nos ha dejado con muy buenas sensaciones. Ahora solo queda seguir entrenando y mejorando día a día.

The experience obtained in this race has been very positive and has left the team with very good feelings, as it has been the first with the new bike, the Beta 350RR. Now, the only thing left is to go on training and improving day after day.
