El nuevo y renovado Palma Sport & Tennis Club ha sido el marco elegido para presentar a la sociedad palmesana y mallorquina la recuperación de estas magníficas instalaciones. Al acto asistieron Mikael Landström, nuevo concesionario del Club, Susanna Moll, presidenta del IME, Antoni Ferragut Ramis Presidente FTIB y Carlos Moyà tenista.
El Sr. Mikael Landström ha agradecido a todas las autoridades políticas, IME, FTIB y a Carlos el apoyo ofrecido y ha mostrado su total ilusión por haber recuperado un espacio histórico en el centro de Palma que abrirá sus puertas el próximo Jueves para acoger un evento único en España como es el Legends Cup.
Toni Ferragut Ramis, mostró su satisfacción por la recuperación de una de las instalaciones deportivas con más prestigio de la isla y agradeció a Mikael Landström todo el esfuerzo realizado para asentar las bases de las nuevas generaciones del tenis balear, así como el haber devuelto la ilusión a muchos mallorquines. Ha informado también que paralelamente al Legends Cup se celebrará el Palma Junior City Cup que enfrentará a los mejores jugadores sub 14 de Palma de Mallorca contra los de mejores sub 14 de Düsseldorf tanto en categoría femenina como masculina, utilizando el formato Copa Davis. Por último ha lamentado la lesión de Moyà y la ausencia de Bruguera pero felicita a Mikael Landström por haber conseguido dos recambios de mucha categoría como son los de Àlex Corretja y Thomas Muster.
Por su parte, Carlos Moyà, ha lamentado su ausencia para el torneo Legends Cup que comenzará el próximo Jueves 8, aunque ha confirmado su participación para el Legends Cup de 2016. Agradece el apoyo de Mikael Landström y confirma que asistirá como espectador al torneo de este año, ya que será un torneo de mucha calidad tenística y con jugadores muy técnicos difíciles de ver en la actualidad.
Como último, las palabras de Susanna Moll, presidente del IME; unas palabras llenas de satisfacción y alegría por haber devuelto a Palma un espacio simbólico, emblemático y con tanta história como es el nuevo Palma Sport & Tennis Club.

The press conference was held at the newly renovated Palma Sport & Tennis Club and was attended by Mikael Landström, new concessionaire of Palma Sport & Tennis Club, Susanna Moll, director of IME (Sports Association of Palma City) Chairman Antoni Ferragut Ramis of FTIB (Federation of Tennis) and tennis player Carlos Moya.
Mikael Landström thanked all political authorities, IME, Carlos and the Tennis federation for their kind support and was grateful and happy to have been able to recover such a historic space in the center of Palma which opens this Thursday, October 8th to host the Legends Cup, an ATP Champions Tour Event as 1 of only 8 cities around the world.
Toni Ferragut Ramis, welcomed the recovery of one of the most prestigious sports facilities on the island and reported that parallel to the Legends Cup, there will also be a tournament for young talents of 14 years who will play in Palma Junior City Cup. The best young talents in Palma de Mallorca against the best from Dusseldorf, both female and male, playing in the Davis Cup format. Finally he mentioned the disappointment regarding the injury of Moya and Bruguera but congratulated Mikael Landström for having achieved two very upscale palyers such as Alex Corretja and Thomas Muster.
On his behalf, Carlos Moya, was very sad to be missing the tournament, but has confirmed his participation for the Legends Cup 2016 and confirmed his attendance as a spectator to the tournament this year, as it will be an exciting tournament with great legends of the sport.
