El empresario qatarí Shaikh Abdullah Al-Thani y Fernando Sanz han alcanzado un acuerdo para la compraventa del Málaga Club de Fútbol. Dicho pacto, que ya ha sido comunicado al Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD) y se consumará en breve tras haber mostrado el organismo su conformidad verbal con los términos del mismo, supone el comienzo de una nueva etapa en el Málaga Club de Fútbol.

The Qatarian businessman Shaikh Abdullah Al-Thani and Fernando Sanz have reached an agreement for the sale and purchase of Malága Club de Fútbol. The agreement has already been notified to the Spanish High Council of Sports (Consejo Superior de Deportes) and will be completed shortly, given that said Public Body has provided its verbal approval of the agreement’s terms and conditions. This implies a new era for the Malága Club de Fútbol.

El acuerdo se ha cerrado gracias al esfuerzo, flexibilidad y compromiso de ambas partes, cuyo principal punto de partida ha sido siempre el beneficio y crecimiento del Málaga Club de Fútbol como entidad deportiva.

The deal was closed thanks to the effort, flexibility and commitment of both parties, whose main concern has always been the benefit and growth of Malága Club de Fútbol as a sporting entity.

Para Shaikh Abdullah Al-Thani: “nuestra voluntad es ayudar al Málaga C.F. a dar los pasos necesarios para consolidar su presencia en la Primera División y reforzar la ilusión y esperanzas de la afición en esta nueva etapa. Shaikh Abdullah es un destacado hombre de negocios que pertenece a la familia real de Qatar y dirige uno de los principales y más diversificados conglomerados empresariales del emirato, que aglutina a alrededor de 3.000 empleados y cuenta con actividades repartidas en más de 30 países. Entre sus diferentes responsabilidades y cargos Abdullah Al-Tahni es vicepresidente, accionista y miembro del consejo de administración del Banco de Doha, uno de los más sólidos e importantes de Oriente Medio.

Shaikh Abdullah is a prominent businessman and a member of the Qatari royal family. Como empresario de éxito cuenta con una larga experiencia en inversiones en destacados sectores de actividad que van desde prestigiosas cadenas hoteleras y centros comerciales, hasta empresas de telefonía móvil, agencias de viajes, tiendas de moda y de electrónica de consumo, pasando por concesionarios de automóviles y camiones, entre otras. Asimismo, Shaikh Abdullah dedica parte de su trabajo a las actividades caritativas, entre las que destacan la ayuda a discapacitados, huérfanos y la concesión de becas de estudios a jóvenes sin recursos. Al-Thani también es socio de honor del Al-Rayyan, el más importante Club de fútbol de Qatar.

As a successful businessman Shaikh Abdullah has vast experience in investments in different business sectors ranging from prestigious hotel chains and shopping centres to mobile phone companies, travel agencies and stores specialising in fashion and consumer electronics, to car and truck dealers, among others. Shaikh Abdullah also devotes part of his time to charity activities, including supporting the disabled, orphans and awarding student grants to young people without resources. Al-Thani is also an honorary of Al-Rayyan, the most important football club in Qatar.

El carácter emprendedor de Shaikh Abdullah y su sólida formación financiera y legal, estudió Gestión y Administración de Empresas y Derecho en Egipto, le ha permitido, a pesar de su relativa juventud, 43 años de edad, emprender nuevos negocios a lo largo del último año, entre los que destacan acuerdos con compañías de software, arquitectura y publicidad.

Having studied Business Administration and Law in Egypt, Shaikh Abdullah’s entrepreneurialism and solid financial and legal training have allowed him, despite his relative youth at the age of 43, to undertake new business opportunities throughout this last year which include deals with software, architecture and advertising companies.
