Lo hicimos porque nadie nos dijo que era imposible!!! Antes de iniciar el Dakar Rally nos decían que no acabaríamos tal y como estaba planteada la prueba y aquí estamos, en Buenos Aires, otra vez en el podio de la Plaza de Mayo. Estamos muy contentos y satisfechos de haber conseguido la prioridad que nos habíamos marcado al iniciar el viaje. Ha habido momentos muy duros, sobre todo cuando veíamos el final cerca pero la mecánica parecía que no aguantaría. Pero en ningún momento hemos perdido la calma y siempre hemos encontrado la mejor solución para seguir adelante. Ahora tengo que dar muchas gracias, primero a Àlex Haro mi soporte imprescindible en las pistas, al equipo MD Rallye Sport Team que han cuidado de la mecánica en las asistencias, todos los esponsors imprescindibles para iniciar la aventura, a Nasser Al-Attiyah Team, felicidades por partida doble por tu victoria y porque sin ti no estaría aquí, a Cyril Despres, mi colega casi paisano, a Nani Roma y Carlos Sainz, mala suerte la vuestra pero siempre me habéis apoyado y ayudado en todo, a los socis, la familia y mi Cristina por su apoyo en esta locura mía, y a todos los aficionados en general que me han animado, tanto in-situ como por otros medios, mientras hemos competido en este Dakar. Muchas gracias a todos!!! Os quiero!!!
We did it because nobody told us it was impossible!!! Before starting the Dakar they told us that we would not finish since this was the hardest race ever imagined and here we are, in Buenos Aires, again on the podium of the Plaza de Mayo. We are so happy and proud to have achieved the goal that we set before the start of this trip. There were tough moments, specially when the final stage got closer and the mechanics seemed to fail. But we kept cool and we always found the right solution to keep going. Now it’s time for many thanks, first of all to Alex Haro my essential support on the tracks, to the MD Rallye Sport Team that took care of the mechanics during the assistances, to all the sponsors essential to get this adventure started, to Nasser Al-Attyiah, double congratulation because of your victory and because without you I won’t be here, to Cyril Despres, my colleague and nearly countryman, to Nani Roma and Carlos Sainz, you were unlucky but you always supported and helped me, to my socis, family and my Cristina for your support in this madness of mine, and to all the fans everywhere that cheered for me, on-site or everywhere, during this Dakar. Many thanks to you all!!! I love you!!!
